How to Get a Clear Complexion

I’ve been getting a lot of comments about how to get rid of pimples and zits, so I decided to just write a post and let everyone know the proper way to getting a clear complexion. A lot of people have been asking me if there is any way to get rid of pimples without using any products, but unfortunately there is no way to do that. You need to use some sort of product in order to get a clear complexion.

Start off by analyzing your skin. Is it oily? Dry? Combination? This will help you determine what sort of products you need to use. If you go to any drug store, you will see all kinds of different products that are labeled for each type of skin weather your skin is oily, dry or combination. Once you’ve determined that, get the right product!

If you have oily skin and you tend to break out quite often use an oil-free face wash that contains salicylic acid. This will help ensure that there is no extra oil that goes onto your skin, and the acid is excellent at fighting breakouts. These products are all pretty cheap, so find one that works for you and use it once in the morning and once at night. After you use the product, rub on a little bit of oil-free toner to get rid of any dirt/impurities. If you keep this up, your acne should start clearing up within a month.

But one of the most important things to keep in mind is to use an oil-free foundation (since you probably want to cover up your imperfections). Make sure the foundation is right for your skin type and try getting one that also contains salicylic acid, which will help with your daily routine in getting a clear complexion.

For those of you with dry skin, use a gentle face wash that won’t strip away your skin’s natural oils. You can still use a salicylic wash, but make sure it is gentle enough for your skin. For those with dry skin, there is no need to use a toner, since that will only make your face even drier. Finish off with a light-weight moisturizer that won’t clog your pores. Also, make sure you use a foundation that won’t clog your pores and that’s gentle enough for your face.

If you have combination skin, that means that your face is both oily and dry, it just depends on the day. There are numerous products out there that are especially made for combination skin. Again, use a face wash that contains salicylic acid, and a light-weight moisturizer. Depending on the day, if your skin is drier, use a different moisturizer, and if your face is oilier than usual use a toner to get rid of the impurities.

One of the most important things to remember when doing a regimen like this, is to keep up with it. Make sure you remove all of your makeup before bed, drink plenty of water, and get some exercise. All of these things play a very important part when it comes to maintaining good skin. Trying to cover up your skin with foundation and blushes won’t get rid of pimples, it will just hide them. Try to wear as little makeup as possible. If you’re at home, just let your skin breathe, and use makeup only when you really need to, otherwise your skin won’t be able to progress and clear itself.

Also, use a face mask weekly (one that is designed for your skin type), to completely clean your face and get rid of all the dirt, unclog your pores, and moisturize. Keep this up, and you’ll see your face will start clearing up. If you don’t see any improvements within a month, see your dermatologist and see if you need to use any prescription medication or any special products that may help with clearing up your skin.
